Happy Tails

Every dog who is rescued by Rain City and adopter who finds the dog that completes their family, has their own unique story of how they came to find each other. We call these "happy tails"! We love sharing these stories in hopes that others will be inspired to find thier new family member through rescue, to share the joy of adoption and also for our friends in Georgia who don't get to see where their fosters go on the other side of the country.

We adopted our sweet little man Hogan from RAIN about 2 weeks ago. We saw his sweet face on Petfinder and filled out application immediately. RAIN got in touch with me in less than 24 hours! They were all so kind and my husband and I were both so impressed with how tho...

In June of 2012 I had lost my 13 year old Dalmatian, Lottie, due to a stroke and multiple seizures through out the night. Even with 2 other dogs at home, (Nicki a Husky and Si a Husky mix,) the house just felt empty and I knew eventually we would get another dog when...

While my husband was on his last deployment we started looking into adding another dog to our family. As we already have a Yorki (Mango) we were looking into adding a larger dog. Then he found Max. Max is a beagle coonhound mix that is just a year old. He was coming f...

Shortly after my husband and I got married we knew we wanted to rescue a dog. We are quite active outdoors and were looking for a companion to join us on hikes, snowshoes adventures, and wherever else we went. We were one of the many families to inquire about a litter...
